Partial Ocean View
Partial Ocean View rooms at Makena offer a private experience located near the end of each wing. Each spacious 500 sq. ft. king or double queen bedded guestroom offers picturesque views of Pu'u Olai, the 360-foot dormant cinder cone dividing Maui's famous Makena Beach into Big Beach and Little Beach on the west wing. Step onto your private lanai for a sneak peak of the ocean, breathe in the sweet perfume given off by the surrounding Plumeria trees and indulge in the natural surroundings of Maui.

Partial Ocean View Suites
Partial Ocean View Suites are located at very end of each wing, ideal for guests seeking a more private experience. These 1,000+ sq ft. spacious King or Double Queen bedded Maui hotel rooms offer Partial Ocean views similar to that of the partial ocean view category rooms, yet are conveniently separated into a bedroom and living room with a sofa bed, dining table and wet bar with a refrigerator and sink.

Ocean Front Suites
Ocean Front Suites feature spectacular ocean views of Lanai, Molokini Island and Maui’s west end across the bay. These suites offer living and dining areas, master bedroom and two bathrooms, one with a shower, the other with a shower/tub combination. Spacious and inviting, these Maui hotel rooms enjoy the large sitting room furnished with two plush white convertible sofas, one of which pulls out to a queen bed and wet bar with refrigerator and marble countertops. The Plumeria Suite
The Plumeria Suite is the Presidential Ocean Front Suite at Makena Beach & Golf Resort. Sitting on the top most floor of the Resort, the newly refurbished Plumeria Suite enhances the Makena Beach & Golf Resort experience. Named after the abundance of Plumeria Trees visible from the suite’s private lanai, this suite features a modern approach to contemporary Hawaiian décor with Asian accents.
Let the sound of the waves on Maluaka Beach lull you to sleep on our new Serta Presidential Plush bed, and soft fresh linens. Put your feet up and relax in our open sitting area, redesigned to invoke serenity with a warm earth tone color palette, with new cherry wood furniture, inviting couch area with matching pillows, and the most current entertainment electronics like a flat screen TV and Bose sound system.
On the suite’s lanai enjoy soft ocean breezes and panoramic views of the Makena region with Pu’uolai Cinder Cone on one side and the West Maui Mountains on the other, while lounging on modern rattan furniture and sipping on a cocktail made from the suite’s fully stocked own mini bar. Policies
Check in Time is 3:00 p.m. Check out time is 12:00 noon. There is no additional charge for up to two children 17 years old or younger staying in the room using existing bedding when sharing accommodations with two paying adults. Maximum occupancy is four persons per room. Room Rates do not include 4.166% Hawaii State General Excise Tax and 9.25% Hawaii Transient Accommodations Tax. Tax rates are subject to change, and the prevailing tax rate at the time of the guest stay will be the obligation of the guest.
Deposit Policy
A deposit in the amount of the first nights lodging plus tax is required at the time of booking. (Exceptions apply for specific rate plans that indicate different deposit terms, for members of a group booking, stays that fall within the year end holiday period, and during special events). Deposit is refundable if reservation is cancelled within defined periods.
Cancellation Policy
Reservations must be cancelled 72 hours prior to 3:00 p.m. HST on the day of arrival to be entitled to a refund. Cancellations with less than 72 hours notice, or reservations where a guest fails to arrive on the scheduled arrival day will be charged a penalty on the one nights lodging. Early Check-Out Fee, equal to one night’s room and tax will be collected for early departures. (Exceptions apply for specific rate plans that indicate different cancellation terms, for members of a group booking, stays that fall within the year end holiday period, and during special events). Holiday Deposit and Cancellation Policy Reservations with stay dates touching December 23 through January 3 will require a deposit of two nights lodging charges. Cancellation notice must be given before November 15 to be entitled to refund of deposit. Cancellation after November 15, guest will be charged 100% of expected lodging charges.
Rental Car Policy
If you have a rental car as part of your reservation the prepaid car rental fees include the car rental, but exclude addition charges such as excise tax, highway fees, airport / facility charges, fuel, insurance, underage driver fees, child seats, optional insurance, additional driver, late return fees, fuel, and any additional or optional add-ons. Our program with Alamo Rental Car is a voucherless one, where the guest will just need to present a valid driver’s license, and a credit card to pick up the car at Kahului Airport. One you arrive and have retrieved your luggage, make your way to the Alamo desk, and they will provide a shuttle for the very short ride to the rental car depot area. If you do not have a car as part of your booking and wish to add one, please call our reservations team at least one day before your expected arrival 800.321.6284 (or 808.874.1111).
