These rentals come complete with helmets, locks, and beverage holders. These classic style cruising bikes are built to the Schwinn quality standard. With over 100 years of cycling heritage, passion and expertise, Schwinn has a commitment to creating the best bikes available today. This bike was made for leisure biking, with comfort and ease-of-use  in mind. Bikes can be checked out through the resort concierge desk and picked up via the bell desk.

Get in touch with both nature and the wonders of technology, with added tiny bit of nostalgia with the resort's newest activity — An Evening Under the Stars. Due to popular demand, the Evening Under the Stars has a new location and new astronomer leading a night of campfires, s’mores and stargazing with advance technology. Complimentary for in-house guests, this activity will excite the kid in all of us.

Rebecca Sydney, Maui's resident astronomer for 23 years, brings a night of fun, relaxation and learning to the Makena Beach & Golf Resort. President of the Maui Astronoy Club, Rebecca combines the use of lasers, a telescope, ipads and a labtop to create a entertaining interactive night complete with a traditional campfire and s'more making.

Hike through a forest and sail through the trees!

One of the more popular activities on Maui is Ziplining.  This is a unique and breathtaking way to view our island as you soar through lush valleys above streams and waterfalls.  There are a handful of different zipline adventures that can accommodate the most accomplished daredevils and can be as fun for the whole family including children ages 5 and up.  Some zipline tours include transportation to and from the hotel.

Hana Adventure

Full day van tours to the Hana rainforest are available daily.  See the most beautiful area of the Valley Isle without having to drive the scenic "Hana Highway"!  Magnificent waterfalls, exotic flowers and black sand beaches provide picturesque views you will never forget. Paniolo Horseback Adventure

Journey to an actual working cattle ranch nestled in the heart of West Maui and ride into the range. You'll zip on six different lines through the beautiful tree canopy and cross four aerial canopy bridges on this tour. 3 Ziplines * 1 Bridge If you want a rush of a zipline tour but need to keep it short, this one's for you! Two zips over lush valleys and a scenic trek over a canopy bridge leading up to a 1,000-ft. line and a final zip through a tropical forest canopy.

Zipline * Side by Side

Hawaii's longest side-by-side zipline (over half a mile) with heights ranging from 42 feet to 600 feet and speeds up to 40 miles per hour. A "Maui Must-Do" activity, you can't pass this one up!

Tango Combo

The Tango Tower is located on a 1.5 acre wooded peninsula in the middle of the action; 42 feet tall; six sides and seven challenges (2 challenges on 1 side); there is also a suspension bridge leading to the top, where the launch platform for Line 6 is located. 12 people can climb at the same time.

Waterfall Walk

If you want a short, easy hike to a couple of small waterfalls and streams in a beautiful valley, this is the perfect choice. Kayak, Snorkel & Waterfall Adventure

Do it all -- hike in a rainforest, swim under waterfalls, kayak along ocean cliffs--- in one trip a 6.5 hour total. Spend 2.5 hours on the ocean kayaking along the rugged sea cliffs of West Maui and snorkel with Hawaii's large green turtles. Then go from ocean to rainforest and hike a remote valley in the West Maui Mountains. Hike one mile roundtrip along a rainforest stream to small pools and waterfalls. End the trip in an isolated, magical spot under a 20-foot waterfall.

Haleakala Crater – 4 Mile Hike

Consists of a two mile hike at 8,000 feet through native alpine scrub forest on lava rock trail with rare tropical plants and views that stretch for miles in all directions.  Another two mile hike begins at 10,000 feet along a cinder trail past huge cinder cones.

Haleakala National Park Tour

Travelers will have the opportunity to experience the unique scenes and atmosphere of Mount Haleakala. Before they get there, they will be able to travel through rural upcountry towns. This popular tour also takes travelers to the Iao Valley State Park and the town of Lahaina.  You need to be up by 2:30am in the morning, so good nights rest is a must!

Hana/Haleakala Helicopter Tour
