MASSAGE THERAPY

Restorative, rejuvenating, relaxing… Massage therapy comes in a variety of modalities and length of time. Couple massages may be arranged with no additional fees. Massage therapy is available in Makena Kai Day Spa's open-air oceanside beach cabanas and in the privacy of a guest room for an additional charge of $35 per person.

Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage
Lomi Lomi is a Hawaiian style akin to Swedish massage! Ancient techniques have been handed down through generations. Long, gliding strokes use the forearm and gentle rhythmic motions make this our most sought-after massage experience.

Deep Lomi Lomi Massage
Perfect for guests who need a firmer, more intense treatment, but want to enjoy all the benefits of a Lomi Lomi experience.

Sports Massage
Formulated to help counter one's exposure to the elements while golfing, surfing and sporting in Maui. This facial addresses men's concerns including shaving irritation and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Therapeutic Deep Tissue Massage

Guests who are accustomed to deeper pressure with specific muscle attention will enjoy this treatment. Our therapists ease into muscle tissue and work to resolve specific areas of tightness.

Classic Swedish Massage
Traditional Western style massage designed to alleviate muscle tension, promote relaxation and increase circulation.

Reflexology Treatment
This ancient treatment restores natural balance and well being to the body by applying pressure to specific points in the feet and occasionally on the hands.

Prenatal (Hapai) Massage
Hapai massage is a nurturing and relaxing massage for the mother-to-be. Special attention is given to comfort and stage of pregnancy. The treatment eases pregnancy related physical changes including back pain, sciatica, edema (swelling) and muscle spasms. Deep pressure is contraindicated in pregnancy. This is a gentle-to-medium pressure treatment.

Sports or Deep Tissue
Enjoy a sports or deep tissue massage after a day of activity. A vigorous massage is the perfect way to end a day of tennis, golf or water sports.

$50 Face Massage (25 min)

Perfect for the Oceanside cabana! This targets sinus pressure points, TMJ issues, and neck and shoulder stress. With a warm towel compress, this treatment is ideal for guests who would like to have an additional level of nurturing in a beautiful oceanside cabana environment.

$50 Intensive Coconut Oil Scalp Therapy (25 min)
Warm coconut oil is massaged into the scalp and hair, with neck and shoulder massage. This journey into nirvana, designed to ease chronic head and neck pain. Ideal for guests who use a computer in their job, parents of toddlers, and migraine sufferers.

$40 Sunscreen Application with Reflexology (20 min)
The Maui sun can be intense. Protect your skin and enjoy a mini foot massage as you prepare for the beach.

$40 Sunburn Relief Treatment (20 min)
This treatment is especially soothing for the skin after overexposure to the wind and sun.
