Memberships
Membership benefits at Makena Tennis Club include the following:
- One hour ball machine rental daily
- 20% Discount on Pro Shop retail purchases
- 20% Discount on racquet stringing
- 20% Discount on food purchases at Makena Beach & Golf Resort or Café on the Green
- Discounts on lessons and clinics
- Complimentary round robins, player matching services, and use of practice balls
- Each membership may include up to three guests at the daily cost of $10 per player
Individual Memberships
Allows up to one individual in the immediate family to book courts (5) days in advance, one more round 11 ½, Per day
$750.00 Annual Membership Fee
Family Memberships
Allows up to four (4) individuals in the immediate family to book courts five (5) hours in advance, and one-half (1 ½) hours per day.
$990.00 Annual Membership Fee
The Makena Tennis Club Membership Program is offered to Hawaii State residents. A Hawaii driver’s license is required when memberships are being purchased, and memberships are not transferable.
Signature Holes
Signature holes on this captivating course include: the 6th Hole, a challenging hole split in half by a natural ravine, offering spectacular views of this Maui golf resort; the 12th Hole an elevated par 3 offering outstanding panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and neighboring islands, and the 14th hole, the second longest hole in all of Hawaii that combines tremendous scenery with course strategy through its’ double-dogleg design.
Director of Makena Golf Course
Tasked with overseeing the progress and day-to-day operations of the golf course is Makena’s Director of Golf Operations Timothy Murphy, PGA. His extensive experience in the golf industry includes stints as General Manager of the prestigious Ko’olau Golf Club on Oahu, and as Director of Golf at the Ka’anapali Golf Resort on Maui. He was also previously Head Golf Professional at the Waikoloa Beach & Golf Resort and Assistant Professional at Kapalua Golf Club.

Court Fees
Looking for a Maui Tennis Club to play for a day, or looking for weekly packages for the lone player and for the whole family, look no further than the Makena Tennis Club.
- Court Fee Rate: $20 per person
- Individual Weekly Package : $165 per week (includes two clinics)
- Individual Monthly Package: $375 per month (includes two clinics)
- Family Weekly Package: $500 per month (includes four clinics)
Day rate court fees are for the day and guarantees one hour of reserve time for singles or 1 ½ hours for doubles. Based on availability.
Private Lessons
Our friendly professionals are USPTA Certified and offer years worth of playing and teaching experience from all over the world. USPTA Professionals on the Makena Tennis Club staff, offer private or group lessons and clinics:
- Half-hour Lesson $65
- One-hour Lesson $100
- Davis Cup Workout (4.0 or higher) $35
- Semi-Private: (2 players or more) $120 per hour
- Weekly Clinics $35 per person
- Round Robin $30 per person
- Ball Machine Workout $35 per person
All instruction and court times are subject to a two-hour cancellation policy.
Rental Fees
- Tennis Racquets (Wilson & Head Demo Program) $10 per day
- Ball Machine $45 per hour; $35 half hour
- Ball Hopper $10 per day
- Can of Balls (choice of Penn or Wilson) $7

All instruction and court times are based on double occupancy and a two-hour cancellation policy.

The Makena Tennis Club offers a year-round Junior Tennis Program. Every Tuesday and Thursday give your child the opportunity to have fun, get a great workout, and learn the sport of a lifetime.
